Blazers make regional playoffs...

     The Blazers have earned a place in the ABA Regional Playoffs.  Even though the regular season does not reflect a 'winning record', the Blazers are currently ranked number 11 in the ABA because of stregth of schedule and good competition with top ranked teams.  The exception to the close scores is the last season game with the KY Bisons, which the Blazers played 4 key players short because of injuries and college midterms. 

     The Blazers will play the New York Internationalz on Saturday, March 14th at 5:00 pm.  The winner of this game will play the winner of the Knoxville Thunderbolts and the MIssissippi Blues, who play at 7:00 pm on March 14th.  The regional championship game will be held on March 15th, Sunday, at 2:00 pm.   All games will be played in Knoxville, TN at the home of the Knoxville Thunderbolts (see www.knoxvillethunderbolts.com for tickets and directions!).  The regional champion will travel to Nashville, TN for the ABA Finals, to be held on March 18, 19, and 22.
